Hot tea is a great drink if you are feeling sick. If you have a runny nose, chances are you are experiencing drainage in your throat as well. Tea can help coat your throat, so the nasal drop doesn’t cause it to be sore, or itchy. It can also help flush your system and get rid of anything they may be causing your body to produce the mucus responsible for your runny nose.
Some teas such as herbal teas actually contain nutrients that can help boost your immune system to make it stronger so it can fight off illnesses and diseases more easily. You can drink as much tea as you want, and may even want to add honey or milk to the tea to help soothe your throat more.
There are many different types of tea, so if you don’t like one, you may want to try another so you can enjoy the benefits.
