3. Facial Steam
Steam can help open up your nasal passages so that mucus can flow through more easily. The allergens that are in your body and causing the rhinorrhea are removed faster, and the body can stop making so much extra mucus.
You can buy steam machines at most pharmacies and some department stores. You can also find them online. If you don’t want to buy a steam machine, you can make your own steam by boiling a pot of water and then putting your face over it with a blanket. Be careful not to touch the hot pot in the process.
Another option is to turn on the hot water in your shower, shut the bathroom door and leave the shower door open so the steam can escape and stay in the bathroom. You can use steam to help clean out your nasal passages as often as you want or until you find relief.
