3. Sanitizing Your Environment
If you are dealing with anyone who has been diagnosed with a health condition such as asthma or someone who has a compromised immune system, then you should always make sure to always keep your environment as clean as you possibly can. This is to avoid any illnesses and infections that can enter the body or environment.
You should remember that things aren’t necessarily clean and sanitary just because they look clean: Clean everything with substances such as salt and bleach to ensure that they don’t just look clean but actually are clean. Most types of viruses and bacteria can be killed with some simple effort and bleach.
You should also make sure that you always have hand sanitizer nearby, especially if you are dealing with someone who already has a compromised immune system. The elderly can automatically be considered to have a lowered immune system – and the same is true for small children or patients with any immune disorders, which may or may not accompany asthma.
