Some carbs can cause you to experience bloating. There are two things that need to keep in mind when it comes to consuming carbs and their links to bloating. The first is that if you consume too many carbohydrates, you’re going to experience bloating. That is just a simple fact of physiology. Eating too many carbs is going to cause your stomach to expand and you are going to feel fuller than normal.
In addition, eating too many carbs can cause gases to be present that would normally not be present. But you also need to be aware of FODMAPs. These are particular carbohydrates that are digested near the end of your intestines. This is where the bacteria feed on. If you eat too many of these, bloating is a common symptom. Some of these include dairy products, garlic, peaches, wheat pasta, rye bread and more.
