In addition to giving yourself a self-exam on a regular basis, it is also important to make sure that you go to your doctor at least once per year for a regular examination. Your doctor will be able to examine your testicles for any type of abnormality that may appear in the testes. This may include fluid build-up or a lump.
The size may also be a cause for further testing. The test that the doctor administers will be similar to the one that you give yourself. However, a doctor is better qualified to know whether or not something is really wrong. If the doctor notices that there is some type of abnormality, they may order further testing to be conducted in order to determine the underlying cause.
Going for a yearly checkup with your doctor is important as detecting any issues early is one of the ways to ensure that it can be taken care of.
