Search for Articles Here >>

Giardia is an intestinal infection that affects many Americans each year. It is an infection that can be gotten rid of naturally. Anyone can get the infection, including animals because it’s caused by being poor conditions, such as unsafe water and poor sanitation.

Most medical professionals will prescribe antibiotics that may have lasting side effects. Some side effects of antibiotics for giardia include yellow urine, nausea, and a bad taste in the mouth, which is almost metallic-like. Children and pregnant women would be unable to get treatment from giardia if they decided they wanted to see a medical professional and get medicine because of the side effects of the antibiotics.

In fact, the types of antibiotics available may not be as effective as going natural because everybody doesn’t respond to medicine in the same way. People who want a more natural approach to treating giardia should consider eight natural ways to get rid of the infection.

1. Practice Good Hygiene

is one way to get rid of giardia because bacteria can grow anywhere. It’s important to wash hands after using the toilet, before eating and putting hands on something dirty.

For example, public restrooms are filled with bacteria and once a person places their hands on anything inside or outside of the bathroom, bacteria is present on the skin. Even the toilets at home are loaded with germs. It’s always important to practice good hygiene all the time. If a person doesn’t wash and dry his or her hands correctly, there is a chance giardia could develop. It’s important to shower daily to get rid of germs.

When using utensils, make sure that it’s cleaned thoroughly with hot water and dish soap. It’s not a good idea to drink behind others just because a person may feel that the other person is clean. If the other person has giardia it can be passed onto others.
