3. Try Acupuncture or Acupressure
Acupressure and acupuncture are two common remedies in Chinese culture that has historically been used to treat both vomiting and nausea. Acupuncture describes the process of inserting needles into specific pressure points all around your body.
Acupressure is a process virtually identical to acupuncture, except for the fact that the hands and fingers are used to stimulate these pressure points rather than fine needles. Regardless of which technique is used, the nerve fibers will be stimulated and signals to your spinal cord and brain — signals which have proven effective at reducing the severity of your nausea and sometimes even curing it outright.
Two relatively recent studies showed that acupressure and acupuncture severely lowered the chances of suffering nausea following operations. The reduction rate was anywhere between 28% and 75%. Studies have also shown that both acupuncture and acupressure have displayed results equal to that of anti-nausea medications but without producing any of the side effects.
