3. Early Symptoms
CIDP is notoriously difficult to diagnose, meaning that the early warning signs or related symptoms need to be monitored for a few months at least, in order for an accurate and educated diagnosis to be agreed upon. The earliest symptoms that a person may experience may seem mild, and easily attributable to much more trivial illnesses.
If a person experience spells of clumsiness, for instance, it would not be out of the ordinary for a person to blame vertigo or even a mild viral infection. The tingling that someone experiences in their feet in the early stages as well could be misinterpreted as prolonged pins and needles or even sciatica.
The average onset of the symptoms means that it is likely that a person may expect to suffer from a range of different health concerns at this stage of their life, making the correlation and diagnosis of the early symptoms a bit of an uphill struggle when it comes to connecting the dots.
