14 Causes of Wrist Pain You Shouldn’t Ignore

Wrist pain shouldn’t be ignored because there could be an underlying issue that is causing it. If you ignore it, the pain will more than likely get worse.

In order to get relief from wrist pain, you’ll need to go to the doctor to see what is causing it. You don’t want to continue working on wrist pain because it can lead to wrist tendonitis, which will cause you to not be able to use your wrist at all.

Not all pain in the wrist is a cause to seek medical treatment, but if you see swelling and feel intense pain, that is when it’s time to visit your doctor. When you’re experiencing wrist pain, you’ll want to know what caused it in the first place. Once you find out what caused it, you can take steps to prevent it from happening again.

There are eight causes of wrist pain you shouldn’t ignore.

1. Repetitive stress is a cause of wrist pain.

Any activity that causes you to use your wrists for hours on end, it can cause inflammation around the tissues of the joints and cause stress fractures.

Some activities that can cause wrist pain are tennis, golfing or driving. You can wear wrist splints to protect your wrists. The wrist splints will allow you to keep your wrists in the correct position to prevent you from furthering injuring them.

It is a good idea to take a break often when performing any activity that causes you to use your wrist. You can even perform wrist exercises to loosen up the joints in the wrists. It is also a good idea to always have proper form when performing activities that causes you to put a lot of stress on the wrists.

A lot of injuries can be prevented by using proper form. When you do any activity take your time.
