The human coronavirus is a contagious virus that causes symptoms similar to the common cold. Most people get a coronavirus at some point in their life, but their body usually recovers within a short amount of time. In fact, getting a coronavirus may not feel any different than having a common cold or flu, and patients that have it may never actually know that it is a coronavirus and not the standard rhinovirus the causes colds.
The symptoms are very similar to cold symptoms, and in many cases, the treatment is the same. Of course, the way to prevent the coronavirus from getting into the body and taking hold once it is in there is by the same preventative methods that are used to keep you from getting the common cold or flu. However, unlike the flu, there is no vaccine for the coronavirus and there are several different types of this virus as well.
Let’s take a look at eight symptoms that are very similar to what you experience with a cold.
1.Runny Nose
Having a runny nose is definitely one of the symptoms of coronavirus as it is with the standard rhinovirus. A runny nose is caused by irritants within the nasal passages that inflame those passages and release mucus and other fluids. This is probably one of the first symptoms that you would experience if you were to be infected by a coronavirus.
Of course, everyone gets a runny nose from time to time so most people do not take it very seriously. This is especially true for people with allergies who may simply assume that it is their allergies acting up. Of course, the best way to treat a runny nose is to get rid of whatever is irritating the nasal passages in the first place, and that is done by blowing nose and clearing those nasal passages.
However, until the infection has been eradicated, this nose blowing is likely going to continue.
