
2. High Cholesterol
When you have high cholesterol, you are at a higher risk of developing gallstones and other health-related issues. If you are diagnosed with high cholesterol, changing your diet can go a long way, lowering your cholesterol and improving your overall health. When your cholesterol levels are high in your body, the chemicals found in bile that is created by the liver, will not be able to dissolve all of it effectively.
When the liver is filled with more cholesterol than it can deal with, it typically will result in gallstones forming. When cholesterol-based gallstones form, they may not present any type of serious health problems. This is because they often remain small in size and attach to the wall of the gallbladder. However, when a gallstone moves and becomes stuck in a sensitive area, such as the duct that leads to the gallbladder, inflammation may occur.
