2. Hydrate with More Than Water
Hydration is one of the most important factors if you want to stay healthy, and everyone knows that they should be drinking at least eight glasses of water per day for the best results – but this becomes far truer when you’re being affected by a condition like post-polio syndrome (or even any other type of general infection in your body). When you’re sick, your body tends to lose a lot more fluids than normal, and the more dehydrated you get, the more dangerous it can be for your shot at recovery.
Drinking at least eight glasses of water per day is only a rough guideline for what to do. You don’t have to make it exactly eight glasses, more or less is fine too, and it doesn’t always have to be water. You can also get your daily fluid intake through other fluids like fruit juice, which can also give you a great nutritional boost at the same time.
