4. Oatmeal
Believe it or not, oatmeal can actually hold the answer to relieving your prickly heat rash. We’re not suggesting that you eat it, but rather use it as a bath scrub. Various studies have shown that it can reduce inflammation and itchiness for many types of skin rashes. To utilize this natural remedy, get two cups of oatmeal then pour it into a bath. The water should be lukewarm.
Don’t use hot water or you could end up irritating your skin further and worsening the prickly heat rash. Soak in the bath for around 20 minutes to get the best results. If you don’t have a bathtub then you could also make an oatmeal paste and apply it topically. Create a mix of one part water and one part oatmeal then mix it thoroughly until it blends into a paste, then apply it directly to the rash.
