2. Coconut Oil
Not just incredibly effective in the topical treatment of Tinea Versicolor, the ever-versatile and beautifully textured and scented coconut oil is super adaptive and effective when it comes to tackling pretty much any kind of fungal infection, including Athlete’s foot.
The makeup of coconut oil, which includes fatty acids arranged in a medium-chain, allows it to operate as a natural fungicide, which is just what you’re after with a home remedy, something natural. There are two ways in which coconut oil can be used effectively against this fungal infection.
One method requires the oil to be spread evenly across the affected area, before allowing it to dry on its own. A second option is to mix the coconut oil with a few drops of cinnamon oil before application. 15 to 20 minutes should do the trick before washing the oil off and patting the affected area dry.
