14 Most Common Causes of Bedwetting in Adults

Search for Articles Here >>

2. Muscle Control Loss

One of the most common causes out there for adult bedwetting is the loss of muscle control, and if you experience chronic bedwetting as an adult the first thing that you should do is make an appointment with your doctor to track down the cause. Muscle weakness can sometimes happen due to factors like age, or it can happen because of an underlying health condition that needs to be diagnosed and treated before it turns into a larger problem that does permanent damage.

Muscle control loss can happen throughout the body, or it can be restricted to the muscles that control the bladder; sometimes it can even signal underlying issues with the spine, particularly if you experience any loss of feeling in the body together with bedwetting as a symptom.

Sometimes muscle control loss can be treated with physiotherapy, other times the underlying condition has to be diagnosed and treated first.
