Hepatitis B can be pretty scary, but figuring out the symptoms and getting help early is definitely the best way that you can ensure that you are getting treatment as quickly as possible. Hepatitis B is a serious liver infection that is caused by the hepatitis B virus – commonly abbreviated HBV.

I hepatitis B infection can dig in and become chronic and this can lead to liver failure, cirrhosis of the liver or even liver cancer. However, it is important to note that there is a great deal of hope with modern medicine.

Most adults with hepatitis B do recover even if they have severe symptoms. Many children are vaccinated for hepatitis B, and they are usually a very low risk for developing this illness. But for adults, you want to be on the lookout for symptoms, and you want to report those symptoms to your doctor as quickly as you can. Let’s take a look at the symptoms now.

1. Stomach Pain

Stomach pain is definitely on the list when it comes to hepatitis B symptoms. There are actually several reasons why you may be experiencing stomach pain with this illness. One of them is the fact that your body begins to hold onto excess fluid when you have hepatitis B. This can cause you to get a buildup of fluids in the abdominal area that causes discomfort.

However, you also experience nausea and vomiting with most forms of hepatitis. Obviously, nausea and vomiting are closely related to his stomach pain. All three of these symptoms go together hand-in-hand.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of them you can do to treat the stomach pain that comes from having hepatitis B except for the treatment of the illness itself. Sometimes over-the-counter nausea medications and pain medications can help alleviate the symptoms but not always. Mostly, it requires treating actual illness
