2. Eucalyptus Oil
Once again when it comes to a healing oil we can think of the aborigines of Australia. It was this group of individuals who first discovered how powerful eucalyptus oil can be when it comes to healing. Lab studies have found that eucalyptus oil provides an antimicrobial effect on the staphylococcus bacteria. The antibacterial effect that eucalyptus oil provides is mainly because of a compound known as 1,8-cineole or the eucalyptol compound.
There are many other bioactive constituents found in the oil as well. In order to use eucalyptus oil as a treatment for a staph infection, you will need to dilute it with a carrier oil and then apply it directly to the infection. It is important to note that pregnant women and children under the age of five should not use eucalyptus oil as a treatment for an infection.
