2. Migraines
Migraines are experienced by millions of people every year, and if you’ve ever had a migraine then you will know it’s one of the worst types of headaches that you can ever have. A migraine has the potential to put someone out of action for days at a time, and the pain often results in associated other symptoms like extreme nausea, sensitivity to light and often sensitivity to touch.
Sometimes allodynia happens temporarily as a consequence of having a migraine: Light touch can feel like someone is scraping a knife over your skin – or it might feel like your entire body is on fire.
Migraines that come with an associated fever or last for an extremely long time will require medical attention.
If you experience any type of chronic (or sudden) headache or migraine, try to find the cause and see your doctor if the condition persists for the long-term.
