2. Ice
When it comes to tailbone pain, one of the most useful remedies that you can use is ice. Icing a sore area can quickly reduce swelling and any soreness. It can also promote the health of the muscle.
To help ease tailbone pain, first wrap an ice pack with a towel. You will then want to place the ice pack on the area of your back that hurts the most. Try to relax during this time.
The ice may be shocking at first, but you will get used to the coldness after about a minute or so. The back may start to become numb. Make sure that you only keep the ice pack on the area for no more than twenty minutes.
For the best results, you will want to do this type of ice treatment a few times each day. Make sure to allow several hours in between each of the ice treatments.
