3. Taking Care with Contacts
Contact lenses are often prescribed for many conditions that affect the eyesight: It proves to be a popular choice for anyone who doesn’t want glasses getting in the way, or for people who feel that their vision issues aren’t “bad enough” to warrant having to wear glasses – many people even wear contact lenses for aesthetic reasons only, including for cosplay events or exclusively for filming.
While contact lenses are generally considered safe, they can come with associated health risks that you should know about. Contact lenses that aren’t cleaned properly can lead straight to eye infection – and untreated, this, in turn, can lead to blindness. Improper handling of contact lenses can also see them get “stuck” in the eye, which might require surgery and lead to slight vision loss.
Contact lenses also aren’t suited for all types of eye conditions and might cause more vision damage for some.
