3. Stress:
Stress is a killer, to put it bluntly. It is the number one reason for many, many ailments we have… high blood pressure, constipation, headaches, etc. It causes underlying conditions to flare up… mood disorders included (i.e. BPD – borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder).
Sleeping is like a natural mood/anxiety/stress remedy. It releases endorphins in the brain that cause relaxation and repair throughout the whole entire body. It gives your brain a chance to believe everything is going to be okay, while you take a moment away to do something to take care of yourself.
Many people today work a lot of hours to keep up with the demands of rent, potentially childcare, and more; so, for the average American today… taking a nap is a good counterbalance to keep you fresh and de-stressed throughout your entire day.
