3. Garlic
There are many reasons that you should add some garlic to your diet. This herb has many great health benefits. Garlic is not only the enemy of Dracula, but it is also the enemy of many common germs. During World War I, garlic was commonly used as a way to disinfect wounds. Garlic extract contains the compounds diallyl disulfide and diallyl sulfide.
These compounds are both known for killing staphylococcus aureus, which causes folliculitis. Garlic can be used in several ways. In order to treat folliculitis, a clove of garlic can be juiced and the juice can be applied directly to the pimple. It is important to note that garlic can be quite potent and for this reason applying undiluted garlic juice directly to an infected hair follicle can cause a burning sensation. Diluting it with a bit of water or carrier oil is recommended.
