8. Genitals Swelling
is highly common in trichomoniasis. A person with trichomoniasis may believe he or she is allergic to something, such as a detergent that caused their genitals to swell. If it’s sore around the genitals, the person may take an over-the-counter medication, such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen to help with the pain and inflammation.
The person may even decide to take a hot bath to get rid of the swelling. The swelling may go away for some time, but it could possibly come back. The longer a person waits to get treated for trichomoniasis, the longer the symptoms will remain and cause more issues, such as irritation of the vagina.
Only a doctor can give a person the right treatment for trichomoniasis. It is more embarrassing going around feeling uncomfortable in the genital area than going to the doctor to seek treatment. It only takes minutes to get help for trichomoniasis.
