2. Gardening can cause anaplasmosis.
Gardeners work in grassy and bushy areas where ticks are at. When gardeners put their hands down in the dirt, ticks are just jumping onto their skin. It is even worse if they don’t wear gloves or protective clothing. After a few days, they will feel sick because of having anaplasmosis. Most people will just let the symptoms go away on their own, but with anaplasmosis, the symptoms won’t go away without treatment.
At the doctor’s office, the doctor will ask you a series of questions, which may be confusing to you at first. The doctor may ask what things have you done in the past few days before getting sick.
Since you were gardening, the doctor should tell you that you probably got a tick bite. To be sure, blood will be drawn and that’s when you’ll know for sure that you have anaplasmosis.
