2. Cryptorchidism
A condition known as cryptorchidism is commonly associated with a diagnosis of NS, and occurs in a lot of males who have been born with the condition; the more common name for the term is undescended testicles – and this is usually noticed around early childhood or puberty when the testicles never descend down from the abdomen as they are supposed to during normal childhood development.
This can sometimes warrant a doctor’s appointment, and if the testicles do not descend if given time and hormonal treatment, surgery might be necessary to prevent any pain and discomfort later on in life.
The condition isn’t just associated with cases of Noonan Syndrome, and might sometimes occur on its own without any other symptoms of NS being present, and there are several other potential conditions that can cause it in this case, including issues with hormonal development or diet that’s easy to correct.
