Kombucha tea is rich in antioxidants which have been proven to eliminate free radicals from the body. Free radicals are produced by toxins in the environment and when they enter the body and are oxidize, they can cause cell damage, speed up aging and be responsible for disease.
Antioxidants, which are present in green tea, fermented products like Kombucha and brightly colored fresh fruits and vegetables, can fight these free radicals and prevent them from oxidizing.
Studies have shown that the antioxidants in Kombucha reduced the amount of toxicity in the liver among lab rats. Levels of toxicity fell by as much as 70% in some studies.
