Healthy foods are something that everyone should be doing anyway, it is even more important when you’re sick. Food isn’t going to be your primary concern when you’re sick, especially since the body needs to use its energy for healing rather than for digestion.
However, when spring or fall comes around and you know that there is the possibility of your child contracting this virus or another illness, it is more important than ever to make sure that your children are eating healthy. Healthy foods will make sure that they have all the nutrients they need in their immune system is working as well as it could be. You do want to give your child some nutrient-dense foods that are palatable to them when they’re sick. Bone broth is a really good way to get some nutrients in them without triggering nausea or pain that comes from eating.
