One additive that colas contain is phosphorous<\/a>. It is absorbed in the body. Phosphorous is full of salt and the more you drink it, the more your kidneys will become affected. This isn\u2019t good when you have pyelonephritis because you are not gaining any nutrients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dark colas kill the kidneys, especially if you drink them every single day. When you drink them, your kidneys are getting weaker and weaker. It is better to drink clear soft drinks if you must have a soda. Soda, in general, should be avoided when you have pyelonephritis. Drink plenty of water every single day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
