Adults and children can cause bacteria to grow in their ears, which can cause permanent hearing loss if left untreated. When you have clogged ears, you may not know what you have done to cause it in the first place. You may believe that a bug flew in your ear to cause you to have clogged ears. Some of the reasons your ears can get clogged are from having a swimmer\u2019s ear or earwax build up. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if you have swimmer\u2019s ear or earwax build-up, you don\u2019t need to place objects in your ear because it can clog them even more. There are eight tips to prevent you from having clogged ears.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. <\/strong>Wear earmuffs in the wintertime to prevent clogged ears. <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the cold winter months, cold air will blow inside of the ear canal<\/a> and cause pain. It can cause an ear infection, which may only be treated by going to an ear specialist. Earmuffs are not the only piece of clothing you can place over your ears. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can wrap a scarf or place a warm hat all the way over your ears. Cold air may try to get through, but it won\u2019t be as easy as if you have them all the way exposed. Even if you\u2019re going to be out in the cold for a few minutes, you can still get an ear infection. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn\u2019t take long for your ear canal to start to have pain. Once they start to hurt, your first reaction is to place your dirty fingers in your ear, which will allow more bacteria to get into the ear.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Some people use other objects, such as ink pens and the stick of a lollipop to clean their inner ear. By sticking these objects in the ear, it may get rid of the earwax, but it\u2019s causing damage as well. That\u2019s why whenever you have a cold or the flu, it\u2019s recommended to drink plenty of fluids because it helps to clear your sinuses. You can drink other fluids as well, including juice, but water is the main fluid you should drink. Your soda intake should be limited. Earplugs won\u2019t damage the inner ear. They are soft and fit comfortably inside the ear. Once you have water in your ears, the only way to get it out is by drying the water in the ear canal. One home remedy is apple cider vinegar and water. Place a few drops in the ear and allow it to sit in the ear for five minutes while the head is tilted in the opposite direction. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swimmer\u2019s ear solutions can be purchased at the pharmacy. Home remedies and pharmacy solutions will need to be used once or twice a day until the ears unclog.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Another way you can clear your nasal passage is by placing some hot water in a large bowl and placing your head over the bowl with a towel over your head. Do this for 10 minutes twice a day. Your sinuses will start to clear up. Place a warm compress over your nose for a few minutes several times a day to moisten the nasal passage. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you take a hot shower, it allows your nasal passage to open up as well. The steam rises up in your nose, which causes your nasal passage to moisten. When it comes to keeping your nasal passage moist, it is inexpensive.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
