5. Not drying the skin well
Drying the skin properly and thoroughly after sweating, bathing, or swimming is an absolute must. Failure to do so could easily trigger Jock Itch because, as mentioned in other points, the damp and the dark is where this fungus likes to dwell. By leaving parts of your body damp beneath your clothing, you’re making them susceptible to Jock Itch taking hold.
The easily dried places like the arms, the legs, and the torso are not likely to pick up an infection, but those hard to reach places between the legs and around the back are just as important to keep dry. You might look a little weird to those around you, but there’s nothing wrong with giving yourself a head to toe blasting of the hairdryer. You’ll definitely dry yourself off doing this. Just be careful where you aim the strength of the heat, you don’t want to cause any unnecessary burns to the precious parts of your body.
