Oat baths soothe inflamed and sensitive skin and keep it moisturized. When you take an oat bath make sure you use cool water. Sit in the bath for 20 to 30 minutes.
While sitting in the bath, your itchiness and inflammation will start to disappear. The more you take oat baths, your symptoms will go away. Once you finish taking the oat bath, you can apply a lotion with oats in it, like Aveeno. It is a good idea to take an oat bath a couple of times a day. If not a couple of times a day, at least at night before you go to bed. You will have a good night’s rest by doing so.
Since you’re taking a cool bath, always be sure to have warm heat in the bathroom because when you get out of the tub, your body will be cold. It will take a while for your body temperature to go back to normal.
