8. Over-the-counter medications, such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen will help cure varicocele.
Tylenol and Ibuprofen can be taken for the pain you’ll experience. The pain you will experience may be from mild to intense. You may be able to go without taking Tylenol or Ibuprofen as often, especially if the pain is mild. Only take what is recommended on the package of the pill bottle, unless your doctor says otherwise.
Before you decide to take over-the-counter medication, talk with your primary care physician to be sure it’s okay. He or she will let you know if it’s safe for you to take. Tylenol and Ibuprofen will reduce swelling in addition to the pain.
You will want to have lab work done in order to make sure everything is curing the way it’s supposed to. Once it is cured, there is no need to take the over-the-counter medication anymore, unless the pain comes back.
