3. Discomfort and Pressure
As well as feeling pain that worsens on movement and that moves down the abdomen, you should also look for general discomfort which might be felt as a mild pressure against the other organs.
Again, this is potentially caused by the increased space that the appendix is now taking up – as it now places pressure on other organs and even on the abdominal muscles themselves.
Note that inflammation in other organs can cause similar effects. For instance, swollen kidneys might cause a feeling of pressure around the sides and back.
