4. Keloiding
Keloid scarring is a common condition associated with Noonan Syndrome, and this may often go hand-in-hand with a connective tissue disorder that’s prone to cause this effect while also affecting the rest of the skin; keloid scarring refers to improper scarring of the body where the scars become “raised” while they heal instead of flattened – and while this doesn’t lead to a lot of discomforts, there are times where keloid scarring might occur within the body after surgery.
Because of the way that the skin reacts due to keloid scarring, it’s important to let a surgeon know if this is suspected before any type of surgery (or treatment that directly affects the skin) is to take place.
Other than this, minor keloid scarring on the outside of the body will rarely if ever present with any major complications except for being a little more sensitive to sunlight than normal skin.
