5. Treat Sunburns
Sunburns can be painful, and they can damage your skin. Even if the burn doesn’t appear to be bad or if you don’t see the damage on the outside, the deeper layers of skin could still be damaged. While the best thing to do is prevent sunburns with proper sunscreen, if you happen to forget the sunscreen and need a way to treat the burn, coriander may be the best option.
It’s a good idea to make up this treatment ahead of time, so you have it on hand if you should happen to suffer from sunburn. To make it, soak some powdered coriander seeds in a cup of olive oil. You will want to let the seeds soak for up to a week to infuse the oil. Add the oil to your body at night. Pay close attention to the areas that are burnt. Repeat this daily until the burn no longer hurts, or the skin no longer appears to be red.
