4. Drinking plenty of fluids
Drinking plenty of fluids is essential to preventing clogged ears. When it comes to fluids, you’ll need the right ones, such as water. The more fluids you drink it allows your mucus in your sinuses to be thinner. The thinner the mucus is, it can drain.
If it doesn’t drain it can cause congestion. When your sinuses become congested, your ears become clogged. That’s why whenever you have a cold or the flu, it’s recommended to drink plenty of fluids because it helps to clear your sinuses. The more you swallow, your ears will unclog on its own.
You can drink other fluids as well, including juice, but water is the main fluid you should drink. Your soda intake should be limited. It’s a fluid, but it won’t do too much for the health of your body. You might find it helpful to drink hot fluids as well as cold.
