5. Basil Juice
Another handy source of acid is basil juice. Basil contains an acid called acetic acid, which can encourage the break down of kidney stones once again and alleviate pain at the same time. Better yet, basil juice can reduce uric acid levels, which can reduce the likelihood of uric acid-based stones forming.
You should be careful not to use medicinal basil juice for more than 6 weeks at a time however, as extended use can cause unwanted symptoms. Use dried or fresh leaves to create teas, or drink fresh juice on its own or as part of a smoothie.
