4. Insomnia
You might also have trouble sleeping if you have anorexia. People with anorexia often suffer from insomnia. They may find it hard to fall asleep at night and lie awake for hours thinking, or they may find it hard to actually stay asleep once the to fall asleep. The thing is, this is a self-perpetuating machine. Lack of sleep causes even more anorexia symptoms, and anorexia drives the lack of sleep.
Plus, when you do not get enough sleep at night, then you’re going to feel fatigued all day long. That will make it really difficult to participate in normal activities, hold down a job, maintain social relationships, date or do a million other things that human beings do in their daily lives. Not getting enough sleep can also affect your attention span and make it difficult to concentrate or make decisions.
