4. Severe headache is a sign that anaplasmosis is in your body.
With a severe headache, you will be bedridden until you seek medical attention. At first, you may take over-the-counter pain relievers, including Ibuprofen. Over-the-counter pain medicines may not do the trick. You may be tempted to take more, but that’s not a good idea. You’ll get sick and start to vomit because too much medication is in your body.
Dizziness can occur with a severe headache. It is a good idea to not try to drive or walk anywhere alone. Always have someone with you when you take a walk and let someone else drive for you. When you have a severe headache, it may go away for a few minutes, but come back even stronger.
Once you notice that your headache isn’t going away, talk with your doctor. He or she may give you some pain medicine, but blood tests need to be done.
