5. Warm Bath
On top of the psychological effects of relaxation, ease, and comfort that come from taking a warm bath, which is then, of course, passed on to your physiology promoting relaxation, a de-stressed state, and encouraging physical health… the direct physical benefits of taking a warm bath are:
1) muscle relaxation from the temperature, and 2) ease of indigestion. Alternatively, a heating pad may be applied, or even laying out in the sun for about fifteen minutes, with sunscreen on, of course.
Epsom salts may be added to warm bath water to even more increase the benefits of muscle relaxation here… further promoting relaxed stomach wall lining and ease. Playing soothing music may further promote relaxation and health.
Meditation practices such as Yoga Nidra or simple breathing techniques may be applied, too. As simple as counting your in-breath, and matching your out-breath to it with slow mindfulness can help.
