3. Book a lift through to the hospital and back.
There are many people who make an appointment for their surgery, show up on the day and realize that they have nobody to drive them back home when the surgery has been completed; it’s not recommended that you drive yourself directly after surgery, especially because you were under sedation and might still be under slight influence of this for a few hours afterward – and due to the pain experienced after surgery, the vibration of the road for a long drive isn’t great for your health.
Make these arrangements ahead of time, and arrange for transportation back home from the hospital way ahead of booking your surgery so that you don’t have to worry about it when you’ve just woken up and you’re still in a considerable amount of pain.
