4. Kidney Beans
Kidney beans, the name says it all. You can use these legumes as a plant-based protein source in your diet to prevent the development of stones. They’re rich in magnesium, which helps the body deal with the unpleasant side-effects of stones.
For patients dealing with stones, we recommend you make a broth from the beans and drink it daily until the stones pass. Take a crockpot and fill it with a cup of kidney beans and 10-cups of purified water from your reverse osmosis machine.
Bring the water to a boil over high heat and then reduce to simmer for 6-hours. The magnesium and polyphenols antioxidants leech out from the kidney beans and into the broth. When finished simmering, strain through a cheesecloth and discard the rest – all of their nutrient value is now in the liquid. Store it in a mason jar in the fridge for up to seven days.
