4. Adding Caffeine
Caffeine can have plenty of health benefits, and there are plenty of people who swear that they can’t start their day without a good, warm cup of coffee – and when you look at all of the benefits that caffeine consumption in moderate doses can have for your health then it’s easy to see why. You should drink at least one cup of coffee per day, especially if you suffer from asthma – but take things easy if you have any problems with your liver, kidneys, immune system or heart.
Caffeine can also help you if you feel that you are about to experience an asthma attack and don’t have an inhaler within reach. Why does caffeine help if you are struggling with asthma? The caffeine helps to open up your lungs and can stop the symptoms of a severe asthma attack in its tracks – or at the very least, manage to slow the onset down until you are able to get to your medication or medical attention.
