5. Avoid Red Meat
Adding lean meat and other lean proteins to your diet are recommended when it comes to your health in general and the health of your intestines. In addition, it is also a good idea to avoid eating red meat as much as possible. The reason for this is because red meat has a high amount of saturated fat. Saturated fats are the bad kinds of fat that can lead to all sorts of health issues. This includes high cholesterol and heart disease.
Red meat also promotes indigestion. If you are not willing to totally cut red meat out of your diet you should at least try to make sure that you cut back on the amount of red meat that you eat. Try substituting lean meat such as chicken or turkey in your favorite meals. For example, add some chicken to your pasta instead of ground beef.
