11. Fatigue
As the patient experiences the infection taking hold of their physiology, they notice the occurrence of
symptoms. Fever and muscle pain around the affected area are the most common symptoms that
appear in the first few hours after infection.
Headaches and stiff muscles and joints are also common as the body starts to mount the immune
response to fighting off the infection. However, as the body ramps up its defenses, it draws on your
energy reserves.
It takes a lot of energy for the immune system to fight NF bacteria, and in many cases, it’s a losing battle.
As a result, the infected individual begins to notice they start to feel fatigued. The fatigue symptoms
usually occur in the first few days after infection, and they are immediately noticeable.
You’ll wake up in the morning feeling tired, and you may also have a headache. Seek medical treatment
immediately, and don’t take a chance with your health. The fatality rate with NF is high, and you’re
playing with your life if you don’t seek medical treatment.
