3. An Increased Urge to Urinate
If you experience an increased urge to urinate, it can be one of the potential signs of benign prostate hyperplasia, especially if it’s combined with some of the other symptoms on this list or some of the risk factors that put you at a higher risk of being diagnosed with BPH.
If you find that you are urinating more than usual, the first step to help establish the cause should be to cut down on your overall fluid intake, especially right before bed, and to cut out all potential diuretics that could be making the problem worse, such as tea, coffee and certain types of fruit juice (especially berry-based ones).
If the problem continues even after this, then make an appointment with your doctor with a thorough list of the symptoms you’ve been experiencing and they can help you to find the cause. In many cases, it can be tracked down to benign prostate hyperplasia.
