5. Personal Time
When you are a new parent, almost all of your time and attention goes towards your baby, especially in the early years. This is why so many women struggle with depression.
While your child does need a lot of effort and attention, they don’t need it all. You deserve to take care of yourself and have some personal time. Find someone you trust to care for your baby and get out of the house for a couple of hours a week. This will help you feel better and give you something to look forward to. No matter how much you love being a mom, getting caught up in the routine of carrying for a young child can be draining.
Take the time to get your nails done, go to dinner with your spouse or friends, or even go to the grocery store alone. This will leave you feeling refreshed and help you get through those long days and nights of taking care of a baby.
