4. Age-Related Conditions
Bedwetting is a health condition that people would commonly associate with age, and it’s true that it’s not always something that comes on early in life. When it hits you later in life as an age-related condition, then bedwetting is very common due to other age-related conditions such as muscle weakness, loss of bladder control and present infections – this makes it vital for a medical professional to evaluate the cause of the symptom and take all of the other symptoms into account before any treatment can be started.
For chronic bedwetting in the elderly, sometimes it becomes an incurable condition for which the use of depends (better known as adult diapers) can be prescribed to manage the condition instead of curing it. Luckily, this is considered rarer and the majority cases of bedwetting can be controlled with medication – and sometimes in more advanced cases, minor surgery to treat the cause.
