A headache can be a symptom of many different ailments. At times a headache is simply caused by extra pressure on the brain and it will go away in a short amount of time.
However, one of the most common ways of being infected by legionella is through droplets of water. The contamination often occurs in public areas such as hotels, hospitals, and other large buildings. Drinking water does not cause an infection. Instead, it is caused when water droplets enter the body in other ways. After being infected symptoms will often appear in a few days.
One of the very first symptoms is a headache. This is mild at the beginning stages. However, the headache will become more severe over time. For those who receive treatment early, the prognosis is quite good. If the disease is left untreated Legionnaires disease can prove to be fatal.
