13. Headaches
People are experiencing the effects of sleep paralysis may notice that they start to develop headaches early in the morning after waking up. This symptom may have some correlation with the fact that they may also have pressure on the chest as well. As mentioned, sleep apnea is a condition where the patient struggles to breathe while they sleep. As a result, the body does not get enough oxygenated blood moving towards the brain.
When the brain does not get enough oxygen, it starts to experience a disruption in both neural and cognitive function. As a result, the patient begins to develop a headache, and they also may find that they feel sluggish or tired in the morning. The sensations typically wear off as the day progresses. The patient may find that they are just feeling tired at the end of the day, hoping to get a good night’s sleep.
However, sleep apnea is a recurring condition, and it will most likely result in a repetition of the situation. Purchasing a c-pap machine, and using it at night when you go to sleep will help to limit the effects of sleep apnea. In many cases, the use of the c-pap machine can help to remove the effects of sleep apnea entirely.
